Rudy Fernandez

Rudy Fernandez, Vice President of Navy Operations, joined FTI in 2024. Rudy has extensive experience in the Aerospace and Defense Sector with a primary focus on strategy and program execution excellence. He is responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to expand the FTI Navy and Marine Corps sectors.

With over 35 years of Department of Defense and Navy experience, Rudy formally served as the Senior Director of the Maritime Systems & Integration Operating Unit and Charlottesville Site Lead at Northrop Grumman. During his time with Northrop Grumman, he held various Senior Director positions in Strategy at the Business Unit, Division and Sector levels. Before joining Northrop Grumman, Rudy held various positions within Programs, Business Development and Strategy over 10 years at Advanced Acoustic Concepts (AAC), aJoint Venture between DRS and Thales. His last role at AAC was Director of Programs and Strategy for all Thales products and programs. Prior to his time at AAC, Rudy served as a submarine officer in the Navy for 22 years.  ‍

Rudy earned a Master's of Business Administration degree from Chaminade University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from Jacksonville University. Based in South Florida, Rudy is a workout junkie who loves to spend time at the beach and with his family.
