Director of FTI Studies & Analysis, named USAF/A-9 "Contractor of the Quarter"
8/28/06
Saiful Hannan, FTI Director of Studies & Analysis, was recognized by the HQ USAF/A-9 (Studies & Analysis) Director of Resource Analysis, for his “…Herculean efforts,” in the creation and display of one of A-9’s “…best senior leadership decision tools, the C-130 aircrew “Dwell-to-Deploy” Calculator.” This capability, which Saiful developed, has been briefed at the secretarial levels of the USAF, the US Army, and the US Navy. For example, with the looming de-activation of Air Reserve C-130 units, in-theater airlift requirements will fall squarely on the active-duty force. Saiful’s application allows senior decision makers to get an easy to use look at the rotational requirements placed on the active-duty C-130 force and the potential burden that they will have to bear. Obviously, the capability is being used for many other sensitive applications.
The Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Manpower and Reserve Affairs has endorsed this capability and introduced it to the Army and Navy Secretariats for Reserve Affairs who are now using modified versions of the capability to meet their respective requirements.
For his efforts, Saiful has been the first contractor to be formally recognized as Air Force Resource Analysis Directorate Contractor of the Quarter. |
